The countdown

I got sent home from work half an hour early this morning, as did everyone else. The volume of work in the Cheque department has dropped so low that everyone would have just been sitting around on their asses anyhow, if they already hadn't been. What kind of lead wants to let people get paid to sit around on their asses? No leads or supervisors I know of.

In any case, this is the final week that I'll be doing this temp assignment. I need to make a call to the temp agency, in the hope that they can find me something to just jump right into by next week, so as to keep the cash flow positive. There are things I want to do and I need money in order to do them.
