Re: Ceremony
Dec. 21st, 2003 05:15 amI'm back from my latest night of guest DJing. Here's what I played and maybe even why I played it:
Set #1
Ultravox - Visions In Blue
Kate Bush - Breathing
The Church - Terra Nova Cane
Echo & the Bunnymen - Over The Wall
Set #2
Joy Division - Shadow Play
The Mission UK - Wasteland
ThouShaltNot - Glaciers
VNV Nation - Cargon
Killing Joke - Dark Forces
Lords of the New Church - Open Your Eyes
The Cure - The Lovecats
Placebo - Special K
Fields of the Nephilim - Chord of Souls
Set #3
KMFDM - Juke-Joint Jezebel
New Order - World In Motion
David Bowie - Magic Dance
"Weird Al" Yankovic - Christmas At Ground Zero
Voltaire - When You're Evil
The Smiths - Ask
Siouxsie & the Banshees - Peek-A-Boo
Tones On Tail - Go! (Club Mix)
The Smashing Pumpkins - Eye
Björk - Joga
You may perhaps be wondering, "what the fuck was he thinking...playing 'Weird Al' on Goth night?" To answer that question, all I can say is that I was thinking that it would be terribly amusing to play a tacky little song about the nuking of the holiday season. Some people actually agreed with that stance. To those who don't, I have only this to say: NYAHH! NYAHH! NYAHH! I was the DJ and you weren't!
My next maneuver in taking over the world involves digging out my copy of 60 Fabulous Sound Effects. And if you believe that one...
