Today - technically yesterday - was spent in Masochist Monkey Studios, aka masochistmonkey's/Joe's apartment recording the final song for Division. All ten songs for the album have been laid to hard disc, more or less in their final form. All that really remains is to tweak the mixes and send them off to oneirophrenia for a slick and sexy mastering job.

For the curious (and just plain nosey), the song that effectively finished off the bulk of the Division sessions is titled, "Disconnected." Originally it was an epic ten-minute break-up ballad. Now it's an epic seven and a half-minute break-up ballad where I wail like a banshee during the coda, rather than screaming, "fuck" 64 times. This change leaves no excuse for the college radio crowd not to air this song.

So, it looks like the album is right on schedule. An official release date will be announced in the near future, and illusionofjoy.net will be up and running when I finally get off my lazy ass and finish the coding and FTP the files.
