F#ck the vote
Jul. 24th, 2004 07:54 pmIn these trying times, many have come to the conclusion that something - nay - anything must be done to prevent the conservatives from re-taking the executive branch in November. Joining the ranks of the liberal crusaders is a movement that comes way out of left field: Fuck the Vote. The premise is simple: the sexy liberal shows the uptight conservative a wild night (or day) in exchange for a pledge that the now deflowered right-winger will not vote along his or her party lines in November.
While I believe that everyone needs to get good and fucked at least once in their lives (Rick Santorum could probably use a good pegging), I really don't think sex alone will change someone's political affiliation, despite the good intentions of those behind the site. Furthermore, I would have to assume that the only conservatives looking at this site are likely the same ones who went to see Fahrenheit 9/11: those who are either actually moderates or simply looking to debunk the entire affair. Judging by the number of "pledges" already listed on the site for each state (zero), I am probably correct.
The people behind this site have their hearts in the right place, but they aren't exactly thinking with their heads.
