Monday to half of Friday

Now starts the countdown in what will probably be one of the longest work weeks I will have to go through. On Friday, I get to leave the office at noon, at which point joi_division and I will be driving to Detroit to see Siouxsie & the Banshees live that evening. It's only five days away...it's only five days away...

You'll love The Majestic. Well, it's no Pine Knob^W^WDTE Energy Music Theatre, it's quite the venue. It's got high ceilings and a very broad stage (playing area). Oh, and it looks nothing like its website purports it to be. They were doing a lot of renovating when I was last there.

I saw Crystal Method there a couple of months ago and their sound carried pretty well throughout the place. They sucked live of course, but that's a different story. Zero 7 at the same venue a few days later was awesome though. :)

I'm not sure what your opinion is of Detroit, but be careful. I've gotten into a couple of unfamiliar situations myself that I'm glad I came out of. I live but an hour drive away (Sarnia) and I am always a little scared having to travel there, but maybe that's because I'm Canadian and living near one of the cities with the highest average crime rates makes me a little uneasy.
