The Structural Catnap
Sep. 4th, 2002 10:55 amMy next class is at 2:00. It's the three hour History of Architecture. Thus far it has been the most interesting course I've been in this semester. However, that whole three hour thing does put me on edge, even with the break.
At this very moment, I want to just take a nap. I want to take a nice little catnap and then go to class. Unfortunately, a true catnap entails sleeping all day, getting something to eat, perhaps chasing an imaginary insect and then returning to sleep. This is what my cat does, in any case.
I'm also a bit hungry right now, but my meal allowance only allows for two stops in the dinning hall per day. I'm not nearly famished enough to use up an entire meal allowance. Doing so would leave me shit out of luck after class. It looks like I may be feeding the coffee vending machine during that class break.
Speaking of such vending machines, I quite happy that the open-cup ones at SUNY Potsdam only dispense coffee. Granted, one's decaf and full-power brew come out of the same nozzle, but it's better than a coffee/hot chocolate/chicken soup machine that does the same. I don't drink decaf anyway, and at least it doesn't taste like chocolate chicken coffee soup.
I'd better make sure I don't have any assignments due for the class this afternoon. If not, then I can take a two-hour nap. Yeah...that's it. Okay, sounds like a plan. END TRANS
