Equipment update

Got my mic, boom and preamp opened up today (the boxes containing them were delivered yesterday). Now, I just need to test the stuff (tomorrow, I hope). Also, I need to buy new speakers, though it seems my current ones only distort - always on the low end - during certain professionally recorded songs and my more kick drum and bass-heavy songs. Nothing I play by Skinny Puppy sounds distorted...that it to say, that it doesn't sound any different from how I've always heard it.

I bought the mic equipment while Musician's Friend was having a sale on mics and accessories. Now Best Buy is having a sale on speakers. Hmmmmm...
