No justice

illusionofjoyIt was hoping that during the course of the Bush regime, no Supreme Court justices would step down or die. The way I see it, while the current justices aren't particularly good, they are far better than the right-wing radicals Bush and his goons would fill the Supreme Court with. Well people, brace yourselves for another blow to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; Sandra Day O'Connor is retiring. Looks like the time is ripe to email the Democrats in the House of Representatives and tell them to grow a fucking spine, pull out the heavy artillery and filibuster the fuck out of the wackos that Bush is sure to nominate to replace O'Connor. Maybe there's a small chance that the Democrats will grow a pair and do just that. Otherwise, get ready for 30 more years of Republican regression.
