Bush's nominee
Jul. 19th, 2005 09:27 pmBush has announced a nominee for the Supreme Court to replace the retiring Sandra Day O'Connor. The man of the hour is John G. Roberts Jr., a hard-line right-winger. He's everything we progressives expected from a Bush nominee, so I can't say that I'm particularly shocked. What would shock me is if political progressives across the spectrum rose up against this additional affront to the ideals of the United States and said, "NO!"
