Why they couldn't just call the "new" Nirvana album Greatest Hits is yet another one of the great mysteries of the world. I finally listened to the disc, and while it is a nice trip down memory lane, it is definitely "the Nirvana album for people who aren't actually Nirvana fans" as Pitchfork put so eloquently. I blame Courtney Love and DGC Records for this lovely little piece of marketing.
Nirvana - Nirvana: for those of you still starry-eyed over "alterarock" radio but who are too cheap to dig up, Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero and MTV Unplugged out of the used bin. Go ahead, rape Kurt Cobain's grave...see if I care.
