"The Ribs of a Broken Umbrella"

"Eve, The Apple of My Eye"

While I think both of these songs are great, the videos are a study in contrasts - one is a video done right, the other done wrong. For the video to "The Ribs of a Broken Umbrella," the goofy stop-motion animation is charming and actually compliments the song. By comparison, the attempt at whimsy in the video for "Eve, The Apple of My Eye" (an earlier effort, mind you) comes off and merely creepy. All I could think upon seeing the halved apple-head was that whoever came up with the concept stretched the metaphor of the song way too far and was not doing the band any favours. It would have been much better as just a performance video.
