I used the laundry room in the new building for the first time. I count it as a good sign that my clothes didn't get stolen. Am I just cheap or is $1.25 in quarters a little steep? That's ten quarters total; five for the washer and five for the dryer. In my old building, I could do one load for five quarters; three for the washer and two for the dryer. I see nothing particularly spectacular about these appliances which would justify the higher price.

it doesn't seem to high. when i do one load, its about $3 for a wash and dry. at least you have the facilities in your building... ;)

This is specifically why I require a washer and dryer in my apartments :-) If I had to use a laundry room, I would never get anything washed :-)
