I am a bit agitated that I do not get to vote in the primaries today, unlike residents of many other states. Frankly, no state should be allowed to wield influence by being first: the primaries should happen for all states on the same date. Still, those who are paid to opine are saying that the competition between Clinton and Obama is unlikely to be decided even today, so Pennsylvania's primary - which occurs in over a month - may not be as irrelevant as expected.
Either way, I've made up my mind who I'm voting for in the Democratic primary: Hillary Clinton is my candidate. I like Barack Obama, don't get me wrong, but I feel that he'd make a better Vice President at this point. Furthermore, he's far too nice - if he is the presidential candidate, the republicans will eat him alive, spit him out and then slurp him back up again. Hillary Clinton, by contrast, knows how to deal with dirty republican tricks; say what you will about "triangulation," but sometimes fighting fire with fire actually works. If Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee, she will be the next President.
And to be a pisser, I just want to say "poo" to anyone who thinks that voting for a certain Pittsburgh to Texas transplant - who was against the war in Iraq, but who also believes in allowing the states to crawl into a woman's uterus and who wants to kill the nation through isolation and give tax cuts to everybody, allowing the rich to become obscenely rich - is a good idea. I dare not speak it's name, for fear of invoking it's followers (who have all the panache and charm of - and probably are - spam-bots).
