If I had known from the start that they were just going to reinstall the operating system (or attempt to, as it turns out), I would have never bothered. I could have done that myself. The whole point of taking it in to the so-called "professionals" was so that I'd be back up and running as soon as possible with the least amount of disruption to my system. Instead, these guys are running a huge racket where they attempt to extort the ignorant masses.

You and others have made offers to help out, should I need it and I greatly appreciate that. Once I can afford new parts, I may have to hold an upgrade party or something.
