What it show it would be!

Phaser is playing with Calla in Philly on 12/5/2002 at Gasoline! Suffice it to say, I would love to go to this show. I've seen Phaser twice - at CMJ 2000 and CMJ 2001 - and Calla once at CMJ 2001. Both groups create a sonic atmosphere nothing short of spectacular. Phaser just got signed to an indie label, Emperor Norton, that will be re-releasing their full-length debut, Sway, which the band released independently earlier this year (a copy of which I own). Calla, will be releasing their third album this coming January - a disc I am very much looking forward to.

To drive the point to distraction: I really want to go to this show! It's one of only two dates that these two bands will be playing together, the other being in Washington D.C. Slim as they may be, my chances of getting to Philadelphia, PA are marginally better than making it to D.C. The problem, of course, is finding a way to actually get there and back. This is compounded by the fact that December 5th falls on a Thursday and weekdays aren't exactly good for road trips lasting over five hours.

Anybody want to help out a poor music geek?
