I got a flyer in the mail today about the 2002 CMJ Music Marathon. Included was a list of bands that have already been signed up to play the showcase. Amoung the groups I want to see:

• Baldwin Brothers
• Bright Eyes
• Denali
• Luna
• Ours
• Pretty Girls Make Graves

I'm particularly interesting in seeing Ours and Luna, since they both had incredible albums come out recently. The Ours album, Distorted Lullabies should have been fucking huge, but for some reason wasn't. I guess that really doesn't matter, as long as the group keeps making music. I kind of like knowing about great bands nobody else has ever heard of because it makes me feel as if I have my own personal little treasure.
