I found the song!

It's "Kathy's Song (Come Lie Next To Me)" by Apoptygma Berzerk from the album Welcome To Earth. I've fallen in love with this song. I now know what my next album purchase will be.

It's one of my favourite albums. I guess I missed where you were looking for it, I could have sent you many MP3's. But yes, buy the album, it's worth it. The next album after that, Harmonizer isn't bad either.

Amazon.com is actually having a two-for-one discount right now if you buy Welcome To Earth and Harmonizer together. At the moment I'm a bit low on cash and I already spent the gift certificate that my brother gave me for that store on Tapping The Vein's The Damage (they're a group from Philadelphia well worth checking out if you like Switchblade Symphony or Rhea's Obsession).

You should download (if you have the ability to... if not try to find at a store) the VNV Nation remix of "Kathy's Song". It's really really good.
