I'm still angry. And I'm still against war with Iraq, even though everyone is on about how it's over.

So fucking what?

Bush the butcher is now pointing his sites towards Syria. The claim this time is that Saddam and company, before being bunker-bustered to death (a termination that has yet to be proven, much like Osama's...hmm...), moved all the weapons of mass destruction that have yet to be found in Iraq to Syria. Yep, that's right, the Texan governor who had the busiest of execution chambers is spraying yet more liquid fertilizer across the land of the "free" - but then again, that's what he's been doing from day one.

I think if anyone needs to be liberated from a malicious tyrant, it's the United States. Here's my prediction: Dubya is going to keep sending troops into stupid wars. This means that he's going to eventually run out of volunteers in the military and will be forced to draft people. You can bet that I'll be burning my selective service card and heading for Canada or having my Yankee arse dragged kicking and screaming to jail than die for an administration that obviously does not represent me in any way shape or form.

There are better ways to remove nasty little dictators in third world countries than by going in with all guns blazing. An undercover assassination by the CIA would have done the trick nicely. However, as the United States is currently following the "big dick" policy in regards to world affairs, this just isn't going to happen.

Getting back the the military and declining resources, how are we going to keep paying for these stupid wars - especially when the rich get two or three tax breaks every time a new country is bombed. At the moment, the economy is running a deficit nearly 50% worse than that of the first Bush's term in office. When the money completely runs out, how are military campaigns to be funded? Is pillaging an option? I suspect that with this administration it is.

So, Syria is next, followed by who knows what. Rah, fucking rah, rah for the United States: the great liberators of the world and the foremost warriors in the fight against terror. I wonder how the average Afghan or Iraqi feels about that. And if the war against terror is being won so handily, then why am I so terrified of the actions of my own government?

This country is going to, if it has not already gone, to hell. I fear that only another revolution may fix things, if it gets any worse. How ironic, as another war is the last thing I want, at heart.
