If you're driving and hitting every red light on the road, chances are that in Pleasanton, California it is because you are speeding. Recently the city's traffic engineers installed a light at a busy intersection which will automatically switch from yellow to red if it senses a car driving above the speed limit. Personally, I think that this is a good idea - and one that should be implemented in Pittsburgh (if only the locals didn't just run red lights right after they've changed, it might actually have some merit).
