Recording update

Not much progress today. I'm beginning to wonder if it would be okay to allow a seven-minute song just a saw lead and a percussion track. That just seems so...sparse. When I try to add other stuff, it sounds cluttered. I guess sparse is good...as long as it doesn't sound boring.

I find in music, you should always go with your gut. If you listen to Trent Reznor's stuff, you know what I mean.

You can always use a little bass. Nothing too loud, just very subtly going along with the melody.

Seriously, I've been playing around with that "bass as melody enhancer" idea. Very New Order-ish.
