You know the time has come to buy new speakers when the bassline of a soft Jill Sobule song played at a moderate volume distorts. I'm still annoyed, but less so, as I consider that these speakers have served me well in the ten-plus years since I got them.

Ten plus years?! That's insanity. You'll never get that much out of speakers ever again, because they learned to make problems when they build them, heh. You'll always need new things every two years.
