Thanks, but no thanks...
Nov. 28th, 2002 04:40 pmI got up at around 1:00 this afternoon, awakened by noises downstairs. It wasn't until after the entire family had started eating their Thanksgiving meal that I joined them, meaning I had missed Grace (which suits me just fine). At the moments, everyon e is lying about in the living room, taking in the Indiana Jones marathon. I've been trying to play Simcity 3000, but for some reason it runs horribly slowly on this machine.
I really just want to go back to bed and not think of any other h olidays. However, given the time of year, I am painfully aware that I am not going to get my wish. Tomorrow is the busiest shopping day of the year...fucking capitalist pigs. Consumerism isn't a viable alternative to true compassion.
To put mysel f on trial: what have I done recently to make the world a better place? Nothing. Guilty as charged - let the gavel fall.
