Anyone who has seen the TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer knows the gleefully infectious theme song played during its opening credits by goofy punkers Nerf Herder. Of course, less known is that the hook from the song was originally played on a keyboard. It appears that the boys in Nerf Herder unwittingly pulled the same trick that Nirvana pulled on Killing Joke's "Eighties" with the bassline to "Come As You Are." Listen to the synth hook from German pop band Döf's song "Codo", originally released in 1983.
