With all the brouhaha over the general election and the corruption of the Democratic Party distracting me, sometimes I forget that George Bush has his ass planted in the Oval Office for about four more months. Will his "presidency" never end? Well, until such time as either John McCain or Barack Obama steal the election from whomever actually won the popular vote, old Georgie-boy is still a source of the type of humour that burns going down. From the Associated Press:

President Bush warned Russia on Saturday against trying to pry loose two separatist regions in Georgia and said Moscow must end military operations in the West-leaning democracy that once was part of the Soviet empire.

Bush told reporters at his Texas ranch that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's signing of a cease-fire plan with Georgia was "a hopeful step." But Russia's vision of Georgia without the provinces of South Ossetia and Abkhazia was a nonstarter, the president said.

"These regions are a part of Georgia and the international community has repeatedly made clear that they will remain so," said Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at his side. "There's no room for debate on this matter."

So, let me get this straight...he's saying that Russia had better get their troops out of Georgia or else? Ooh, that's funny - the man who sent American troops into Iraq unprovoked is trying to tell other nations that they can't occupy territories that don't belong to them without just cause. Ha! I think I'm going to die laughing. Ah, George Bush, you're still a worthless motherfucker after all these years.
