Note to anonymous commenters...
Aug. 18th, 2008 04:35 pmIt seems that a couple of people have noticed that I re-enabled anonymous commenting in my journal (against my better judgement I might add). Unfortunately, neither one of these individuals had the yarbles to actually sign their comments. You see, I do not have anonymous commenting enabled so that people may comment anonymously, as paradoxical as that may seem. No, I enable to feature so that those who do not have a LiveJournal account may participate in the discussion. This means that I expect people to sign their names on the comment (or better yet, use the Open ID feature).
Comments without a reference to someone's identity (as nebulous as that may be on the internet) will be deleted. Also, seeing as how one of the commenters to prompt this post not only neglected to sign his or her entry but decided that the best way to buttress the argument was through name-calling, I've decided that all anonymous comments will require my approval before the public gets to see them. In effect, you can still call me names and try to hurt my little feelings and make yourself feel like a big person and whatnot, but you don't get to leave skidmarks on my personal forum.
