illusionofjoyI ended up sleeping for most of the day - about from 1:00-6:00PM. I woke up for my radio show, asked the Asian Goddess if she wanted to come in with me. She mumbled, "sure," rolled over and promptly resumed sleeping - not that I can blame her. She ended up coming in to WAIH after 10:00, when I had my office hours. I was doing chart tallies, which took far too long and put her to sleep. After I finished, we went back to my room and did things that I would never broadcast on the radio. Afterward was when I ended up falling asleep, as did she for a period.
Last night we went out to eat with friends at a local Italian restaurant. My silly girl, despite being from the only island state in the Union, paid for all of us. We tried to dissuade her from taking on the entire bill by herself, but she insisted, telling us, "don't insult the Japanese girl." After teasing her for "pulling the race card" on us, we relented and let her pay...even though she actually is an American.
With the same friends last night we rented some DVDs and watched those until around 11:00 that evening. Queen of the Damned is great MST3K material. I'm sure that anyone who has lived for several centuries would have better taste than to listen to or perform nu-metal. Aliyah looked pretty good for a dead chick though. Overall, the film was the tacky, poorly scripted affair that I expected it to be. Anne Rice, darling, you enchanted me with Interview, but now the spell is broken.
We also saw The Royal Tannenbaums, which was much better. A strange family indeed...I suspect this is a film that I will have to see again.
Okay, my goddess is laying on the bed right now, looking at a New York State map...which means that she is just begging to be pounced on. heeheehee...
