Razor blues

I had to buy a new electric razor today, as my not-so-old one took a nosedive into uselessness this morning. The Norelco I had lasted well over five years. The Remington I pitched this afternoon didn't hold up for more than six months! It's not as if I neglected the razor - I kept it clean and maintained the damn thing properly - so I should expect more that six months of use from it, right?

Since Norelco no longer makes any models I like (three round heads, what the fuck is that about?), I'm trying out a Braun this time around. Unlike the trashed Remington, should the battery die, I will be able to plug it into the wall and still shave. I've read the instructions, I know how to care for it. It should last e a while. If not, I'm keeping all the papers that came with it and writing a pissy letter to the manufacturer.

You should've mailed in the warranty paperwork. They probably would've replaced it entirely
