I've noticed that a lot of girls on MySpace, in an attempt to avoid being hit on, speak of their relationships with their significant others in saccharine terms not even befitting a cheap romance novel. An example: "Guys, don't even bother because I am in a lovely relationship with the most beautiful, kind, wonderful man who has ever touched my soul. Our bond is so pure and strong that it can never be broken. The wind calls his name and flowers bloom with his embrace...blah blah blah."

After seeing this several dozen times, I'm beginning to wonder exactly who these women are trying to convince. Either there are a lot of deluded women out there or the pile is getting pretty high.

A simple, "I'm taken - be gone, home-wreckers!" would suffice.

Its weird, that I find people that talk about their relationships like that never sound quite right. Coming from a girl or a guy. Write them in a year and ask if they are still with the person :-)

Id much rather hear "im taken" or some other general statement that they arent interested in dating, rather than "oh, im with the love of my life, its so wonderful" etc.
