There was a letter to the editor in today's newspaper where a guy was complaining that a rock concert he went to was "too loud."

...

Has this grumpy old man in training never heard of earplugs?

I nearly went deaf standing on the speakers at a Ministry show a few years back...and it was worth it! Don't tell me about loud!

Kenny G is in his collection, probably. He was complaining about the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and then went off-topic with rants about how loud TV and radio commercials are (citing that they were several decibels louder, thus betraying his ignorance about sound engineering).

I swear, the Post-Gazette prints letters from some of the biggest morons.
