It's my day off...from writing about politics or music (the two subjects which have consumed this journal as of late). I had to take a trip to the hospital this evening - not for myself, but as moral and emotional support. Between this and Daylight Saving jetlag, I'm crashing.

Incidentally, is there an unwritten rule somewhere that every hospital must have at least one raving lunatic crackhead in the waiting room and at least one token screamer in the triage area?

Yep. It's printed on the wall, right under the fire code statute thingie where the kids like to wipe their boogers. How else would you know it was the ER?
