The republican convention

So, I just remembered that the republicans were supposed to be having a convention this week. Wasn't most of it pre-empted due to weather or something? Either way, I haven't watched one iota of it; frankly, this year's democratic convention was painful enough on its own. I don't need to see the republicans making mouth noises - I know what that party is all about. I'm still wondering what my party, that formerly known as the Democratic Party, is all about at this point...
