So sayeth Prince. Yes, I'm a curmudgeon who agrees with him - video games like "Guitar Hero" are a pox on real musicianship the same way that Twitter is a pox on in-depth expression.

I don't honestly see any parallel between Guitar Hero and real music anymore then a see a parallel between Dance Dance Revolution and actual dancing.

Twitter is used as a substitute for real communication reducing us all the cliff notes. I guess the day I pay to see someone play Guitar Hero I'll concede the point.

Prince hasn't functioned a plane of reality approaching our own even before he became a religious zealot in quite some time.
