Avril Lavigne has a journal on her site. Granted it has not been updated in months and currently contains only four entries, but it is a journal nonetheless. As a matter of fact, it is the type of journal I would expect from a 17-18 year-old girl who decorates her body in every punk cliché ever vomited out by the masses. I read all four entries, cringing as she poured bubbly little anecdotes upon the page about how cool her fans are (attention Avril fans: you're not actually cool - just thought I'd interject), how much she hates being in airports all the time and happy birthday shout-outs to her friends. Effectively, reading Avril Lavigne's journal was akin to watching a train wreck. I don't like her "music" nor do I like her writing and if these are any indication, I doubt I'd like her very much. I think I'll stick with Moby's online journal. The man has substance.
