Please tell me that Jerry Springer isn't the best the Democrats have to offer. Then again, maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt. Then again, maybe he should compensate me for the horrible visions I get of the one time I saw his TV show whenever I hear his name. Given the current political climate, I doubt he has a chance, though the entertainment biz to political office thing has happened before. Anybody remember Jesse Ventura, Sonny Bono or Ronald Reagan?

What a circus it would be if he were elected. Not like it's not already a circus, but still!

If I recall my history correctly, it was during Reconstruction that representatives got into violent arguments over policies, sometimes to the point of physical altercations. I envision something similar happening if Springer makes it to the House.

My boy just reminded me that Springer used to be a mayor before he started on TV.

Which kind of makes it scarier! :-)
