illusionofjoyWhen I first saw the previews for the new Jim Carrey flick Bruce Almighty I thought, "this is probably going to be really dumb." After reading the synopsis written up at allmovie.com though, I'm now of the opinion that the film could be interesting, albiet at the risk of being contrived. Now the real big question: do I want to drop $5.00-$8.00 plus a 90-minute bus ride to see this film?
Speaking of films, I recently saw The Matrix: Reloaded. My capsule review: good plot but the fight scenes were overlong and special effects were used too liberally. It's the philosophising that turns my crank.
