Heaven knows it's got to be this time...
May. 25th, 2003 03:49 amAnd thus, I find myself at
masochistmonkey's apartment, smoking cloves and consuming additional alcohol. I just had a rum & Coke, however the residence is now out of Coke (the soda, I refer to, of course) therefore, a new experiment and/or taste experience is about to present itself: rum & Mountain Dew. This should be interesting.
Right now I'm a bit on the tipsy side, heading towards completely drunk. [I just had a taste of rum & Mountain Dew and it's pretty fucking good.] My intoxication was self-inflicted with the first two drinks, but the third was given to me by
evilkellychan; the forth and fifth, of course, being
masochistmonkey's fault. Well, actually it's all my fault, since I've opted to consume, but I digress...
Let's talk about how much my night rocked, shall we?
Ceremony was da bomb tonight. The two best DJs on the night shift were behind the board and I found myself shaking my tail feathers on more than one occasion. A Depeche Mode song followed by a New Order song will do that to me though. I also was able to get a ride home! Yay!
Did I mention that I'm a bit drunk right now? [And it's only getting worse...I have evil, evil friends...]
So, here's my story in a nutshell: I thought that I wasn't going to be able to stay late at Ceremony, due to my lack of a ride home. This was only worsened by the fact that I didn't arrive at the club until after 10:00PM. Luckily, one of the DJs felt sympathetic to my plight and offered me a ride home. Thus, the opening act was set for the stage of my good night...or something like that. [I write so much better when I'm sober.]
The music was so good tonight. There's a reason I have favourite DJs - and this time no one bitched when Johnny Cash got played ("Ring Of Fire," if you must know). I've always held that Johnny Cash - aka, "the original man in black" - is Goth as fuck. I mean, just listen to his songs...so full of sorrow and romantic poetry. It may be classic country & western (which is the only good country, save alt-country, everything else after 1970 is crap), but it is still Goth as fuck! The kids just don't get it. *sigh*
My clove keeps going out...this is really annoying...
Anyway, I met a cool person at Ceremony tonight:
evilkellychan. I told her that I found her through the
pghgoth LiveJournal Community and we just kept talking from there. Hooray for the internet and bringing black-clad freaks closer together!
There was also this really hot voluptuous chick there tonight. I dig on the big girls...rubenesque figures makes me all squishy inside. Real men love voluptuous goddess women. Honestly, the Auschwitz look really does not do it for me.
A funny thing happened at the club tonight. "Love You To Death" by Type O Negative was spinning, and I was really getting into it. In fact, I was getting too into it. I grabbed the chain-link that separates the 21+ area (the bar, for those simple ones reading) from the all-ages area, and the fence started falling towards me! This obviously fucked up my groove, but at that moment, all I could think was, "gotta get the barrier back in place," along with "please don't kick me out of the club for destruction of property." Anyway, I was able to push the fence back up and they had it fixed before I left. *whew* No harm, no foul.
On my way to the apartment (my friends' apartment, not my own),
xeyli called me. We had a good conversation...the type I missed having with her. I still care about her, and I just want her to be happy. She deserves that.
I left a voice mail with
czerach. I doubt she'll call back though, even though I'd like to hear her voice (other than her saying, "hi, I'm not here...leave me a message"). Drunken voice-mails rarely bring return phone calls, however. I can dream though.
Ooh...what a scatterliscious entry! I'm intoxicated, so I'm closing out now. Check, y'all later, rockstars! I gots me a rum & Mountain Dew to finish drinking. END TRANS
