Revisiting Northern New York
Sep. 19th, 2003 09:23 amThis evening is the trip to Watertown for my two friends' wedding.
masochistmonkey, his boyfriend, myself and
missjoi are all piling into Joi's car for the eight to nine hours it will take to get there. I'm driving and Joi is claustrophobic, placing us both in the front, while Masochistmonkey and his man will have to deal with the cramped back seat (Joi's car is a two-door). Since they are homosexuals, I would think that they'd be accustomed to being packed tightly in the back.
I'm hoping that the trip goes smoothly. For a while, I was worried that hurricane Isobel was going to make any sort of travel attempts a nightmare, but it appears that tonight the worst we will have to deal with is a bit of drizzle and maybe some wind. The worst of the storm seems to have passed - or so says the Weather Channel.
Anyway, I'm packed and ready to go. I'm just going to get some sleep and once Joi gets off from work, we're going to pick up the boys and head off north for two days. It'll be nice just to drive on the New York State Thruway again, because PennDOT obviously does not care about us.
Ahoy!
