God damn, I think it worked! I stayed up all of Friday night into Saturday morning, since I had slept from 1:00-7:00PM Friday. I went to sleep Saturday afternoon at around 5:00. I slept until 3:00AM, when I woke up and took a lavatory break. As soon as I got back into bed, the phone rang (for the second time this week - if ever I find the fuck that is calling me at 3:00AM...). I picked up the phone, but there was no answer. I resumed sleeping. I woke up this morning at 9:59, just in time to catch the live showing of my alarm clock going off. I turned it off and realized something: this is the first time in what may be a year that I have woken up feeling truly awake. I'm not still tired, I don't just want to go back to bed and sleep more - I actually want to get showered and start my day. Holy fuck! This feels so weird! Okay, time to shower and get breakfast - whoo-hoo! I'm up early enough to get breakfast without having stayed up all night. I love breakfast - best-tasting meal of the day, it is.
