As I was walking to WAIH this morning, I passed by one of my classmates who asked me if I was "going to fall asleep in class today."

"Of course," I replied with veiled sarcasm. It's not that I mean to fall asleep in any class - and certainly not while one of my classmates is making a presentation, however sometimes I can't help it. Given the heat index and the fact that my sleep patterns have been buggered for ages, there are times I can't escape. It's like a stalker at my back, I'm aware it's there, I know it's coming. I try to fight it - I try to escape. Sometimes I think I've won but then it overtakes me and I have no idea I've lost until I snap back to reality.

In any case, I am fully aware of my shortcomings. I need them neither highlighted nor made light of by others. In this case, it would appear that I will be continuing to feed the vending machine my dwindling cash resources in exchange for a caffeinated elixir.

It's weird how I found your journal, just one thing leading to another...But, I'm so glad I did. Have you told your doctor about this falling asleep thing. GOD, you are so young. Don't waste your time and energy. Tell your doctor all of your complaints about sleeping...ALL of it, and do it NOW.. don't wait. You could have a sleeping disorder and that is treatable, but a not a lot of people know about it. You may have sleep apnea, or narcolepsy, or something else. You have a choice. You can live with it, or you can talk to your doctor about it. That's it. I'm just saying don't ignore it, because you *seem* healthy. Or everything is fine except for that one thing(the way you sleep, or don't) That one thing is something we spend one third of our life doing. It's very important and necessary to survival.
What you're talking about is something that definitely needs further attention, and if you snore...then, definitely.(even more definitely?)If you don't do something now, could be years from now you'll find out that something was wrong and you could have taken care of it, and you'll be kicking yourself in the ass.
Sorry for coming on so strong. That's just me.
I have apnea, and I fall asleep at work talking on the phone. I wake up and wonder who I'm on the phone with. I haven't been caught yet, but my employer knows about it, and I'm in the process of being treated for it, so soon I'll get a good nights rest. Someday soon. I can give you some links if you want.

Cool journal BTW. I really like it. I'm gonna listen to some of your music. But I gotta warn you. I'm a crochety old lady, so I'm not easy to please. I love the letter you wrote to the landlord. Very well expressed...scary to people less educated I would think, because it's sounds almost like legal mumbo jumbo. HA!! I'd think you would not have to pay anything. Good luck.

I probably do have some sort of sleep disorder, but it's nothing I likely didn't give myself. Going to college has a way of messing up your body in various ways, most of which I prefer not to discuss at the moment.

I'm glad you took the time to visit the main journal. It's really the place place to go if you want to "pry into my mind." The Livejournal is where all the random crap, or the "edited clippings," get thrown. As for my music - it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'll understand if you don't dig it.

Actually I was very impressed with the music. I think the music is brilliant, and if you wrote it, you're talented IMHO. BUT, I hope you don't mind me saying this....the lead vocal could be better because sometimes it sounds off key.
I've said my two cents worth about the sleeping. Even if you do drugs and/or alcohol (which I did alcohol) don't think that you couldn't have a sleeping disorder. You can screw up your body, but that doesn't mean it's perfect to begin with. See what I mean?
I know learning does take a lot out of you though. It can make you physically tired using your brain.

Hey. I know what your problem is. It is called talking to me late at night when I'm wide awake yet you are tired and need to get some sleep. So you want to know the cure???....lol. It is but one thing. GO TO BED AND DON'T TALK TO ME AT NIGHT!!!! Sorry I could not help but put in my two cents worth. Keep up the lovely writings....lol. oh yeah, GET NEW PICS!!! *kisses*
